The Arboretum is a perfect place to go for a walk to see how the trees change with the seasons, enjoy the smells and watch the birds, the foxes, the deer and all the other animals frolic in the park – to have a picnic – the picnic tables and the benches are already there for your enjoyment or – to visit our flower beds – perennial, grass and Water Wise.

The South Innisfil Arboretum was developed and maintained by Gilford and District Horticultural Society volunteers for the enjoyment of the Community from 1993 to July 2014 when the Town of Innisfil assumed responsibility . For more information see the History page.

As our lease for the South Innisfil Arboretum property with the Town of Innisfil expired  in July 2014 and will not be renewed, sponsorship of trees in the Arboretum will cease in July 2013, as we will be unable to honour our one year guarantee on sponsored trees after that date. The Town of Innisfil has assured us that they will maintain the trees already sponsored

The Town of Innisfil assumed responsibility of the Arboretum in July 2014. For more information see the History page under the Arboretum.
