Just to remind you of our general meeting this coming Monday, April 11, 2016 at 7.30 at the Churchill Community Centre.
Members of our Society John Craw, Linda Crome and Judith Matchett will share with us their knowledge of how to start our own seedlings and talk on how to get seeds ready for planting in the garden. A question and answer session will follow.
The Library table will be set up for you again. Time to renew or get some books!!! If you want me to bring a specific book click on the link below

We will have our first flower show of 2016 and just to remind you – entries must be in place between 6.30 and 7.10 p.m. as judging will start promptly at 7.10 p.m.
Remember – houseplants must have belonged to the exhibitor for at least three month prior to exhibiting.

The General Meeting and Flower Show pages for 2015 have now been moved to Archived 2015.
If you are planning on entering the flower shows this year you will be interested in reading the helpful remarks made by the flower show judges to the flower show committee these past years – it could help you getting a ribbon or even an award!!!!

Our first meeting of 2016 is Monday, March 14th – only 42 days away – and your Executive, who have been busy setting dates, organizing meetings, hiring speakers and flower show judges etc., are all looking forward to seeing you show up to enjoy the fruits of our labour!
The first item that has been updated on the website for 2016 is the Flower Show Schedule – so if you want to compete in the flower shows this year you can check it to find our what you should plant in your garden. As promised at the 2015 AGM a new award ‘Best Tulip in Show’ has been added.

Our speaker of the evening will be Natalie Amos-Stock, Head of Maintenance of Harbourview Golf & Country Club, who will be speaking on lawn care.
Tonight is the night to renew your membership – a copy of the Membership Registration Form has been attached.
We will be launching our new Library also with a variety of garden books – a list of these books will be e-mailed to you and you will also be able to find it on the web-side, printed copies will be made available to those you do not have computers.
We will also set up a table with a variety of seeds – you can bring your own to add and pick up those you want.
A Flower Design Workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 10.00 a.m. at Jenni Murrell’s place. Cost $10.00 plus flowers and material. A sign up sheet will be sent around.
